lyrics

Disrupted and drop-dead busted. There’s rust on the roof and the door hinges squeak. It’s everywhere I want to be. So hot that it’s cracking the concrete, a Cadillac kid with a mouth full of teeth sweating at home as we speak, lonely as Alaska. The water’s rising and I’m going under. Goodbye to Rosie and the boys of summer. And on the off-chance that I off myself, would you put my things away? Falling over my father’s feet, front page news to me, the worst of the week. Buried under the sheets. Now I’m taking the old man’s place but I’m half his age, no pride nor shame. It’s just who I thought I would be. Hanging from the rafters, hoping that somebody will catch me. There’s no relax or release, I can’t suspend disbelief. Sent me a kiss off and I caught a disease. There’s a procession of priests and they’re praying for me, “God Bless the King of Corona, Queens.” God laughs at my plans, I don’t give a goddamn. I don’t understand but I gotta believe. This is not where I thought I would be. Lonely ever after, hoping that somebody will save me.
